The Jackpine Snag
The Jackpine Snag was born in September 2010 when Joe Hart asked former Mk Ultra Culkin members Nicholas Merz and Todd Karinen to start a project. They quickly knew they had something worthwhile and crafted their sound over the winter, playing their first show in February 2011. Things progressed rapidly and they played out through 2011, until Nicholas decided to move out of the state. Unsure whether to continue, they luckily found Greg Lamb to come in on bass in February of 2012. Once again getting back in the mode of playing shows they finally recorded an ep in the fall of 2012. That became the Omega Stump ep, released in February 2013. Riding off that, they played more and more shows, even playing at the MetroTimes Blowout in Hamtramck. They once again went back in the studio to record another ep in the fall of 2013, which would become The Fire Tower ep. Before it was released though, Greg Lamb decided to leave the band. Once again unsure of their future, the remaining members took a hiatus and once again fate stepped in, bringing them Jason Roedel to play bass. With lineup set finally, the ep was released in early fall 2014, and the band has been back playing shows.

Antilogical
Antilogical is an Alternative Punk Rock three piece out of Grand Rapids whose members are well-seasoned musicians ready to rock. Ryan Schubert (My Friend Jared) with his swift calculating drums provides a strong backbone to this band. Ryan Cunningham (The Waxines, Ginger Fig) of Mercury Guitar Studio adds the oddly danceable and infectious bass swing. Finally, Dustin Anderson (grrRoPoLis, Mitchell & Cedar Rock Basement Program) fronts this calamity, ripping out fast riffs and faster tongue twisting lyrics. See these guys perform, it is obvious how much fun they are having being simultaneously goofy and menacing, making genuine musical statements interspersed with tongue-in-cheek songs, including covers by artists diverse as Steve Earle, Cocksparrers, The Outfield, Lars Fredericksen, Ween & more.
Mk Ultra Culkin
Mk Ultra Culkin started in November 2005 and lasted until November 2010. Originally started by Sylas Melanoma, Todd Karinen, Steve Paul and Nicholas Merz in Sylas' basement, they created fast, rhythmic, punk music rather quickly. After playing a handful of shows as an instrumental group, Steve Paul left the band in November 2006. Forging on, Sylas, Nick and Todd played some more shows and working on more and more songs until Elizabeth Garcia joined them in the spring of 2007 as the lead singer. After doing some mini-tours over the next few years and 3 recordings, they opened up for D.R.I at Mac's Bar on November 19th 2010. That would be their last show (except for a one-off reunion show for a benefit for a fallen soldier the following June).

Edible Intention
Edible Intention were a great punk band with a penchant for loud, noisy, sloppy tones and breaking boxes of vinyl records as their fans run from the shards. they were a staple at the basement 414 along with Ouch Me Arse, and always pleased the crowd. the band consisted of jimmy on guitar, fatty on bass, and stoneface on drums. this album is a great piece of lansing history that was the magical year of music which was 2009. they are on indefinite hiatus.

Slumlord Radio
Slumlord Radio is a Grand Rapids based band. They are a trio and are considered the handsome American version of Rush in some circles. Formed in the slums in 2010, they try their best to look and play fancy. Somehow it all still comes up scuzzy and fuzzy. A dash of punk, sludgey metal, and good ol' fashion Detroit style rawk adds up to their famed power slop styling’s (HUGE in Belgium and Mexico City). Live it is like watching a bunch of drunken convicts who are out on work release. Tearing up stages like a bear ripping up a pop- up camper. They have played for Kings and Queens and for bums in the alleys eating pork and beans. So watch for them in a town near you. The band is comprised of these handsome devils:-Mike Todd (Bass/ Backing Vocals) - The man is a demon on the ol' bass guitar, playing the four string son of bitch to the tune of destruction, all for shits and giggles. Body slamming the Thunderbird, just like the infamous "ACE” himself. He enjoys Marlboros, BBQ’s and snorkeling. Tommy "T-Bear" Erickson (Vocals/Guitar) - Lear jet flyin' and limo ridin'. Dubbed the "Voice of an Angel" by People Magazine Romania (2012). When he gets on stage it is to chew bubblegum and kick some ass. Sometimes he has more gum..but when it runs out..guitars and PBR’s get destroyed!!- Matt "Rattlesnake" Claucherty (Drums). Besides being a delightfully masterful drummer, he is the type of guy you would want your daughter to bring home. The man is a sniper, has chops galore, and the boots to match. The band has three EP's under their belt "The Cats Pajamas", "TRSSC" and "No Trick Pony". If you like your rock, like your women fast, loose, and dirty. Then Slumlord Radio is the answer you have looking for.

Nuhgjahre
Nuhgjahre is a 2-piece experimental stoner rock band based in Grand Rapids, MI.
The two guilty parties, Lou and Del, first met as co-workers. They began to
hang out due to their shared interest of working hard, playing hard, and
aggressive music. Before long, they moved from the garage to the Nuhg-Cave,
where there existed a fully functioning practice space and recording studio.
After a couple months of jamming, drinking, and collaborating ideas, a handful
of distinct sounds came forth from the Cave. The result is the release of
their first album, Stones & Mist: a Sasquatch Story. This 5-song EP tells
the first-person account of mankind versus the elusive sasquatch. Nuhgjahre
plans to continue to put out theme based albums with topics ranging from Serial
Killers, Gold Miners, Sleeping Volcanoes & the battle of Good vs. Evil.
With odd time signatures and their story-telling approach to songwriting, it is
very safe to say that Nuhgjahre is the “thinking man’s” version of Stoner Rock.
